The First Story Toronto walking tours are scheduled at two separate locations within Toronto: the University of Toronto/Queen’s Park, and the Humber River. There will be two walks departing at two different times at each location. Convergence organizers will have assigned the participants a walking tour according to their working group. You will be informed of which walk you will be on when you sign in and register for the Convergence. Each walk will last approximately 90 minutes and will depart from its location on time.

Please ensure that you give yourself enough transit time to arrive punctually at the starting location. Check the TTC’s website or Twitter feed (@TTCnotices) for any alerts.

Please note: We cannot ensure that these walks are accessible.

Please come dressed for the weather.

About First Story Toronto:
Since 1995, First Story Toronto (formerly The Toronto Native Community History Project), within the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto, has been engaged in researching and preserving the Indigenous history of Toronto with the goal of building awareness of and pride in the long Indigenous presence and contributions to the city. First Story Toronto shares this history through a variety of initiatives such as First Story Toronto Tours (formerly The Great Indian Bus Tour of Toronto), walking tours of places in the city, and making accessible a growing archive of historical materials about Toronto’s Indigenous community, past and present on our smartphone app.
